"No parent wants to see their child living a life full of regrets. But, in different walks of life, they unintentionally create such scenarios for their child in which he becomes mentally ill because of their personal affairs.
I've a story to share and it is just to make every parent realize that your personal matters do affect your child's life, either directly or indirectly. Although you don't want to do so, yet sometimes in life you make your child's life nerve-wrecking by your own actions.
I'm guy of just 17 and have witnessed some problems that no one would ever wish for.

My parents had always been fighting and never realized that they're pushing their own children in a hell; a hell created by the same hands they brought them up with. Their fights led them to break up and they separated by deciding that I and my younger sister will live with my mother.
She turned out to be the most courageous lady I've ever seen. She took up a job as well as handled two young kids. I found her crying over her hardships at times but she never made us feel that we're a burden on her. She worked day-in and day-out to fulfill our every need, in this cruel world where even our relatives left us to our means. Meanwhile, my father married again and had two more children and they settled somewhere else.
Time flew by and we grew up as good citizens.
Few years later, life took another turn and my father returned, to accuse my mother of not being a good mother and to take me with him so he could look after me - without even asking me.
I've been living with my step mother and her children for 2 whole years. Her attitude towards me turned me into a wet blanket. She became the reason behind the tears I've been shedding. Continues taunts, sarcastic comments and ignorance don't let me lead a normal life.

So, the conclusion of the story is that sometimes even when you parents try to give a normal life to your children, you're actually not. You may not know what are you turning your child into.
And, believe me, most of the criminals and drug addicts are made because of these issues. Loneliness, sarcasm, hardships insist them to adopt such things to make them feel comfortable and in the end you're only left with hands full of regrets, nothing else.

Hold on for a while and think, are you treating your children well?"
